PEMHS  has an opening for a  SYSTEM NAVIGATOR II

Personal Enrichment through Mental Health Services (PEMHS) has been committed to providing care in crisis since 1981. Our dedicated staff, and comprehensive range of programs, are designed to meet the needs of children, adults and families with the goal of building strong communities.  We are a private, non-profit behavioral health care organization located in Pinellas County, Florida.  PEMHS programs include a 24-hour suicide hotline, emergency screening/crisis intervention services, inpatient services for adults & children, residential services for children, and many community based programs.


Full Time 40 hrs/week

Hours – as scheduled

Days – Monday - Friday

Pay Rate:  $16.34/hour

Skills / Requirements

JOB FUNCTION:  Provides assessment, development of the Family Support Plan, and linkage and referral to community based services and resources to assist in the alleviation of assigned families identified needs and/or service barriers.   Facilitates Family Support Care Planning and acts as an expert for other team members regarding available community resources. 


QUALIFICATIONS:  Master’s degree in social services or behavioral health field and two (2) years’ experience working with children and families or Bachelor’s degree in social services or behavioral health field with at least two(2) years of experience working with children and families.  Bilingual capability preferred.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Ability to see and hear in emergency situations.  Ability to communicate orally and in writing.  Ability to travel independently to various sites in the community.  Must be able to complete all portions of NAPPI training that are assigned and perform any NAPPI techniques for which the employee has been trained. 


SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:  Exposure to youths and families served and a variety of program conditions, which may include long, irregular hours, on-call duties and local travel.  Exposure to a wide range of community environments outside the agency.
