We are currently recruiting an Full-Time Registered Nurse for our Recovery Response Center located in Peoria, AZ. 

The Recovery Response Center is an innovative recovery oriented crisis alternative that provides 24 hour inpatient support to people during a time of mental health and/or substance use crisis. Using our “no-force-first” best practice, involuntary and voluntary services are offered in our 23-hour Retreat and 16-bed Living Room. A team of psychiatrists, nurses, mental health professionals and peer support specialists offer hope and recovery solutions in a healing environment during a stay of one to five days.

The Registered Nurse oversees the medical, psychiatric, substance abuse, and nursing care of agency participants . Uses Recovery Coaching to maximize the opportunity to create recovery partnerships and a recovery environment. Promotes a No-Force-First environment that supports the Recovery Pathways. Acts as an advocate for the needs and rights of every person.


Education, Licenses and Experience

  1. Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. (BSN preferred).
  2. Valid AZ State RN license.
  3. 1 year full time behavioral health nursing experience or 2 years general nursing preferred.

Additional Requirements, Certifications and Qualifications

  1. Must have a current Healthcare Provider CPR Certification
  2. Successful completion of Administrative and Site Orientation prior to providing direct care to a participant.
  3. By employment date, pass pre-placement physical examination.
  4. By employment date and annually thereafter, TB test clearance.
  5. Satisfactory results of background test.
  6. Therapeutic Options (TO) physical safety intervention training
  7. May be required to pass multi-state criminal Background Check.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Provides, coordinates and supervises the nursing services for designated shift including staff assignments related to nursing services and safety in the facility.
  2. In conjunction with the Recovery Services Administrator, assures that the delivery of nursing care meets licensing regulations an accreditation standards.
  3. Assures the availability of medical and nursing supplies and equipment. Monitors the safety and effectiveness of equipment in accordance with agency policy.
  4. Completes and/or reviews of all required reports such as:
    1. Incident reports
    2. Infection control reports
    3. Medication errors
    4. Adverse drug reactions
    5. Safety Intervention documentation
    6. In partnership with the person being served, develops a recovery service plan using Recovery Coaching to engage each participant in his or her individual recovery journey.
    7. Assists participants in identifying their hopes and dreams and the solutions they are seeking by using the Recovery Coaching process to develop and record an individualized Recovery and Wellness plan
    8. Ensures completion of designated assessments of all guests brought to the facility developing plans and recovery solutions in partnership with the participant.
    9. Documents information and service provided in electronic data base assuring continuity of the service record and as a tool for communication with other team members.
    10. Provides appropriate treatment and makes appropriate dispositions and referrals in consultation with the team in accordance with agency policy.
    11. Supervises/or provides health care including all required medical/nursing treatments and guest monitoring.
    12. Ensures /or provides various recovery activities according to each person’s individual recovery services plan.
    13. Administers medication following agency’s medication protocol.
    14. Supervises special diet requirements for guests as needed
    15. Initiates and/or ensures appropriate response to all medical emergencies in accordance with agency medical protocols and agency procedures.
    16. Oversees safety intervention procedures as appropriate to program.
    17. Communicates complaints and incidents to supervisory personnel in completing require documentation
