About this Position:

Albion Staffing Solutions is seeking an Operations Supervisor for a company located in the Miami, FL area. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for tactical day-to-day operations in executing strategic objectives of improvements. You will run monitoring open orders daily, working with internal teams to quickly resolve and have orders shipped on time and fix orders that are outside our service level. You will need to diagnose and understand the underlying operational issues

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the developments and execution and distribution services plan that ensures all receiving, storage, order fulfillment, inventory control, logistics and assembly functions meet company, financial and customer service goals.
  • Effectively plan, staff, direct and coordinate activities to maintain efficient storage and flow of materials while maintaining control of inventory.
  • Provide a chance to influence with focus on safety, leadership, excellence, self-motivation, problem solving and teamwork.
  • Communicate company standards and policies and take proactive corrective actions in collaboration with management to ensure compliance.
  • Utilize operations experience, strong leadership skills and highly motivated character to establish efficient SOP’s.
  • Manage a safe workforce by advocating training and accident prevention/preparedness.
  • Work with department leaders to identify areas of opportunity whether related to savings or product utilization.
  • Support the development, alignment with customer on process improvement and/or enhancement strategies
  • Establish yourself as an engaging and inclusive leader with ownership for the team’s ability to maximize its productivity, growth and development.
  • Create a positive work environment through real-time observation and specific, constructive and actionable feedback.
  • Lead with a sense of urgency which will help ensure operational plans are executed, performance and budget goals are achieved and teams are kept informed and coordinated across functions.
  • You’ll have the autonomy to innovate with new approaches to process and method, all in the name of more efficiency and implementing future process flow optimization
  • Ability to root causes problem will be well supported by an environment of calculated risk and testing
  • Analyze client forecasts and historical trends to create fulfillment plans to optimize management, equipment, resources and staffing
  • Apply analytic methods or tools to understand, predict or control logistics operations or processes.
  • Track product flow from origin to final delivery; provide optimization variables for each department.

  • Compute reporting metrics, such as on-time delivery rates, order fulfillment rates or inventory turns.
  • Review of the workload distribution within the warehouse (temp/permanent staff)
  • Responsible for operational claims, failures or damages, root cause and reviews to determine responsible parties.
  • Provide ongoing training to ensure productivity and professional development of team members.
  • Support the monthly business reviews and participates in stakeholder meetings for clarity on data elements and analytics.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation, Operations or Supply Chain Management or equivalent education and experience in preferred
  • 7 to 10 years’ experience in Operations, Sales or Supply Chain
  • Good understanding of tools & systems supporting SC process
  • Prior MHE experience (Forklift, Order Picker, Reach Truck)
  • Good Communication skills (frequent interaction with different functions/levels)
  • Good Analytical skills (Excellent experience with Excel is required)
  • Hands-on problem solver

  • Ability to perform under time pressure
  • A high level of energy and a “can do” positive attitude
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Workplace Location:

Applicants will work in the customer's facility in Miami, FL.
