Pharmacy Technician - Specialty - Transplant

CVS Health has several new opportunities in the Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy in Atlanta, GA! Exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to excel in a complex, high impact customer service role and positively impact the lives of others. You will be responsible for routing questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion, making outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions and formulary changes. Additional responsibilities include resolving and entering incomplete prescriptions after clarification is obtained including functions not limited to production, shipping orders, refill reminders, inventory control, customer service, register work. The ideal candidate will possess high levels of reliability, accuracy, professionalism, customer focus, team orientation and problem-solving abilities, strong written and oral communication, and strong computer skills.
As part of the Specialty Mail Order team, you will play a crucial role in helping others on the path to better health and your work will be directly affect the lives of others. In order to be a successful Pharmacy Technician on the Specialty Transplant team you will need to use your superb communication skills to contact doctor’s offices and insurance companies to ensure in the accuracy our patient's specialty medication orders and translate prescriptions and utilize your sig code knowledge. You should have excellent data entry skills to be able to process specialty medications in a timely manner and ensure all financial and clinical expectations are being met prior to fulfillment
The shift/ schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 11:00am to 7:30pm.

- 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Pharmacy Tech Certified in the state of GA.
- Specialty Pharmacy experience.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft based applications, including Excel.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
