I. Job Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor responsible for the cleanliness of designated areas of the resort. This position performs quality control functions and trains staff to meet housekeeping resort standards. Employee will deliver world-class level of service.

II. Job Responsibilities
* Evaluate the staffing requirements and prepare work schedules weekly.
* Ensure that sufficient staffing is present to meet the daily business demands.
* Handle all disciplinary counseling as needed according to policy.
* Communicate anticipated business demands daily with each employee.
* Conduct daily line-ups.
* Ensure staff's knowledge of hotel services, features and amenities.
* Monitor and ensure that staff performs their job functions to the hotel's expected level of service.
* Assist staff whenever necessary in performing all job functions.
* Conduct ongoing training with existing staff and ensure that new staff is certified as required.
* Coach employees to reinforce positive behavior and to improve performance as needed.
* Accommodate all guest requests in an accurate and efficient manner and follow up within 15 minutes.
* Monitor and maintain cleanliness and working conditions of equipment and supplies.
* Prepare work orders for equipment repairs and distribute to engineering.
* Ensure that all supplies are ordered with accurate usage factors and are received in a timely manner.
* Ensure all pertinent information is documented in the logbook daily.
* Ensure VIP rooms are checked daily.
* Assist in room cleaning as needed.
* Complete random inspections of the hotel and its guestrooms.
* Successful completion of the training/certification process.
* Ensure all closets, carts and other storage areas are organized and clean.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
* High school diploma or GED preferred

Skills and Experience (Essential)
* 18 years of age
* Have a good written and verbal command of the English language.
* Communicate in English with guests, management, staff, and co-workers to their understanding.
* Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment
* Knowledge of proper chemical handling
* Knowledge of effective organizational practices
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
* Ability to provide legible communication
* Ability to do basic arithmetic

Skills and Experience (Preferred)
* Supervisory experience
* Fluency in Spanish and/or Creole
