The essential functions include:

  • Develop, administer, and maintain Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) describing the terms and agreement of school-based service delivery for  schools
  • Respond to program development needs and requests regarding school-based MH services
  • Establish and report on SBS program evaluation activities and studies
  • Facilitate coordination and integration of SBS and clinic-based services, including but not limited to, responding to requests for services, clinical recordkeeping, transfer of cases
  • Attend  DMH and DCFS related presentations and trainings
  • Communicate and coordinate services with other agencies and providers of SBS
  • Develop and maintain written SBS operational procedures
  • Participate in annual program budget planning and implementation
  • Develop, maintain, and administer the Substance Abuse program in  schools
  • Provide consultation to Substance Abuse program interns
  • Work closely with intern training program coordinators to provide opportunities for interns to participate in SBS and clinic/ community based services.
  • Provide periodic in-service trainings and consultation as needed
  • Provide weekly individual and group supervision to SBS clinical staff
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to MFT and MSW interns
  • Attend and participate in Family Resource Centers meetings, including staff, in-service, supervisory training seminars and COA related committees and task force groups as needed
  • Coordinate and plan community events for clients, family members, and community members.
  • Partner with the On-Call Crisis Manager to provide 24-hour LPS and crisis support 2 days per week.  This will include managing the crisis phone and responding to crisis in the field as needed.
  • Complete LPS (5585, 5150) hold application when needed.
  • Other duties as required

  • Ability to use computer keyboard up to 50% of the day
  • Visual acuity, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision for work on a laptop or other computer equipment
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

Equipment and Computer Software Skills and Abilities:

  • Computer literate (basic working knowledge of Microsoft WORD, Excel, and Outlook) and data/electronic records program currently in use
  • Able to use telephone, office copier, calculator, fax machine, computer printer and scanner, or other equipment as required

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regularly work indoors in a variety of environments
  • Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES

  • Masters degree (MSW/MFT) with licensure for two years
  • 3 years experience with school-based MH preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience supervising clinical service delivery staff & interns
  • Experience with Short-Doyle/Medi-Cal Rehabilitation Option rules & regulations
  • LPS certification preferred
  • Valid California drivers license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier

CQI STATEMENT

Every employee has the opportunity and responsibility to participate in one or more activities each year that support the continuous quality improvement (CQI) of Hillsides' programs & services.  Activities might involve membership on a CQI committee or work group, service as a peer reviewer, data collection for CQI and evaluation purposes, completion of CQI questionnaires and surveys or participation in focus groups, or other activities as identified by CQI committees or work groups.
