Work Schedule: Weekday Schedule Monday-Friday
Responsible for pricing, reserving and forecasting of commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare lines of business by applying mathematical and statistical knowledge; monitor profitability, prepare annual budget, prepare monthly reserves, required rate filings, etc
*Monitor profitability of commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare lines of business.
*Prepare annual budget (and quarterly reprojections) for these lines of business
*Prepare monthly reserves for these lines of business
*Prepare required rate filings supporting budgeted rates.
*Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS: Successful completion of 2 Society of Actuaries exams or 2 plus years of experience in a related field
1-2 years of full time or intern experience in health insurance or consulting company preferred. Experience in VBA. SQL or other programming languages preferred
* Bachelor Degree
Competencies and skills:
* SKILL-Actuarial reserving and financial/budgeting analysis
* SKILL-Microsoft Office
* SKILL-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in person and via telephone with members, employer groups, brokers, physicians, and physician office staff using strong dialogue and customer service competencies.
* SKILL-Written communication
