Makes all professional medical judgments in care of patients seen.
Provides patient assessment/follow up in Vascular Clinic
*Works as an integral team member with the vascular surgeon and midlevels to optimize the assessment, treatment and follow up of vascular patients..
*Consults on hospitalized patients as needed.
*Participates in hospital rounding on patients
*Coordinate patient care and follow-up for vascular patients on the vascular service
*Presents patient to vascular surgeons and assists in formulating a treatment plan
*Evaluate postoperative patients and performs routine follow up visits
*See same day patients when required
*Triage new and existing patients over the phone
*Return patient phone calls
*Handle prescription refills
*Makes all professional medical judgments in the care of patients seen.
*Manages the physician/patient relationship.
*Participates in system wide health management initiatives.
*Provides input into the practice site?s financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues.
*Assists in the development and implementation of clinical and service standards.
*Receives and resolves patient complaints.
*Participates in the recruitment and replacement of other providers.
*Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services, and workshops.
*Participates equally in general cardiology call rotation.
*Performs other functions as required.
* Board Eligible or Certified in Vascular Medicine
* Medical Degree
* Medical Doctor
